Fritz Eichenberg Christmas 1954

Schedule

We normally meet on Tuesdays at 7:45 pm, at 233 Broadway, Cambridge, MA.

We will not be meeting on Tuesday December 24, or Tuesday, December 31.

Instead we will have a party on Wednesday, January 1, starting at 4pm, at 233 Broadway, Cambridge, MA. Let me know if you want to come.

You should also invite all your friends to come along, particularly people who might be interested in joining us on Tuesdays. There is an invitation, which has our flyer on the reverse side, if you want to print two-sided and are giving it to someone who might be interested in the group.

We will resume our normal Tuesday meetings on January 7, 2025.

Wine glass

Schedule

We meet on Tuesdays at 7:45 pm, at 233 Broadway, Cambridge, MA. Let me know if you want to come.

We will not meet on Tuesday, December 24. We can discuss meeting on Tuesday, December 31, but my guess is that most people would rather just come to the New Year’s party and celebrate New Year’s eve at home or elsewhere.

Party

We will have our annual holiday party on Wednesday, January 1 beginning at 4pm. Please come, and tell everyone you know to bring everyone they know. Let me know if you think you’re coming, and what, if anything you would like to bring.

I will have printable invitations later.

A Christmas Carol - Mr. Fezziwig's Ball

Schedule

We meet on Tuesdays at 7:45 pm, at 233 Broadway, Cambridge, MA. Let me know if you want to come.

Party

We have been having a holiday party every year on January 1 to share food, drink, and music with our friends. Let me know if you:

  • Want to come
  • if you really want to come but can’t make it that day but can suggest other days that would work
  • if you think it’s a tradition that has outlived its usefulness and that you might come if it isn’t too inconvenient but you consider it one more depressing obligation in a season of far too many obligations.
  • or if there’s some other category that the above doesn’t cover but you want to communicate to me.

John Souch (c.1593-1645) (attributed to) - 'Old' Sir George Booth (1566–1652), 1st Bt - 932394 - National Trust

Schedule

We meet on Tuesdays at 7:45 pm, at 233 Broadway, Cambridge, MA. Let me know if you want to come.

Warmup piece

I tried to find a good three part warm up piece. So we’ll use Linda’s suggestion of the Praetorius “Es is ein ros entsprungen”.

We don’t (yet) have unbarred parts for this, but it’s pretty four-square most of the time, so we’ll start out with Alan Garvin’s excellent edition at IMSLP. Note that the middle parts are in both C and G clefs, so if you don’t want the C clefs, print only pages 1,2,4, and 6, or you will be wasting paper and ink.

Let me know if you need me to print you one.
