We will be having our usual dropin meetings on Tuesdays at
7:45 PM at my
place for the next 3 weeks.
On September 16, there’s a state primary election, and I’ll be
serving as Warden in Ward 10, Precinct 3. So we won’t have a
meeting unless someone else wants to organize.
It’s likely that the Bonnie Rogers Memorial Party will be on
Saturday, September 27, so the September 23 meeting may be limited to the
people who want to play at that event. If you’re one of those
people, let me know soon, and start coming regularly, because some
of the stuff she wanted us to play at her memorial party is pretty
Remember that we’re going to be working on a concert for March
1. I’m thinking fairly hard about what to put on the program, so
if you want to play with us, you should let me know soon.
On September 21, Fall River’s Arts around the Block
festival will be happening between Noon and 4 PM. The
“Classical” venue will be the Church of the Holy Spirit at 160
Rock St. I’ll be playing the Bigaglia Sonata in A minor, and some van Eyck. There
will be lots of other good stuff, including Judith Conrad
playing William Byrd on Virginal and Mendelssohn on Piano.
