Schedule

We continue to meet on Tuesdays at 7:45pm at 233 Broadway,
Cambridge. As long as there’s a quorum, this will include
December 22 and 29.

Remember to invite all your friends to the party
on January 1, and to let me know whether you’re coming and what
you’d like to bring.

I wrote:

The January 1 date for our annual party has been
working out well. But this year, January 1 is a Friday, and I
don’t see that the Saturday or Sunday would be any worse than the
Friday. So let me know by Friday if you’d prefer to come on one of
those dates instead of January 1.

So far I have heard a murmur against January 2, and no
enthusiasm for January 3, so it will be January 1.

So bring your voice, bring your instruments, bring your
friends, bring food and drink if you have some you want to share, to 233 Broadway, Cambridge on
January 1, 2016. We’ll start at 4, and continue until everyone
turns into a pumpkin.

Party planning

The January 1 date for our annual party has been working out
well. But this year, January 1 is a Friday, and I don’t see that
the Saturday or Sunday would be any worse than the Friday. So let
me know by Friday if you’d prefer to come on one of those dates instead of
January 1. I want to start getting invitations out.

Other event

The annual Pub Carol Sing, sponsored by the Folksong Society of Greater Boston and
the West
Gallery Quire will be this Sunday, December 6 at 2 pm at
Doyles Cafe in Jamaica Plain.

(non)Meeting report

With people out of town and rehearsing for other groups and
having just returned from being out of town, we didn’t have a
quorum for a regular meeting.

However, there was a 5-part piece we’d been wanting to
proofread for a while, so two of us joined 3 players at John
Tyson’s place and proofread Valle che de’ lamenti miei
se’ piena by Giaches de Wert

Performance opportunity

Last chance to sign up for the Wort Processor’s cider picnic on
Sunday, October 25 from noon to 3pm at Cider Hill in Amesbury.

It’s free and if some people wanted to come play after we eat
and drink enough, it would be fun. It’s a nice orchard with a
good store for buying apples and such. (The cider donuts have
been highly praised.)
